It is finally over 20 Celsius and sunny, always seems to take forever for summer to reach this neck of the country. But now I want to spend all my time outside in the two months of summer we actually get so here are some awesome outdoor games to pass the time.
Can't beat a classic I love Horse Shoes. And if you're afraid to have mtal spike permanently in yo backyard in fear the children (or more likely myself) will trip over them you can also buy a temporary version you can take down after each games.
wooden washer toss. This is probably my favourite game. A lot of times we will have friends build them out of wood and use metal washer from the home depot but when you cant find someone to built it this looks like the closest version to home made.
Bocce ball set We always play this game at camp but we actually have a bocce court that is flat and sandy so I will have to try my skills on the downhill slope that is my backyard.
lawn darts - a similar concept to horseshoes, you have to toss the darts into a brightly coloured hoop
I have just found Kubb - a game where you toss the dowels underhand and topple your opponents kubb blocks. Topple all of their blocks, then the king and your team wins.
Basically a huge game of Jenga but renamed probably to avoid copyright infringement: Giant Tumbling Timbers
As seen on Shark Tank - Spikeball - is played 2 on 2 with rules similiar to volleyball. "A taut Hula Hoop-sized net is placed at ankle level between a pair of two-player teams. You smack the palm-sized ball down on the net so it ricochets up at your opponents. They have up to three hits between them (just like volleyball) to control it and bounce it back to you. When they miss, you score."

Let me know if I left your favourite lawn game off the list, as I will have to add it and try it out!
